What is Title 24 Acceptance Testing and Why do I need it for my project?

​Title 24 Acceptance Testing is the certification of a projects lighting control system and state submission of an Acceptance Testing report by a certified Acceptance Testing Contractor & Technician. The certification ensures that the lighting control system is designed, installed, and programmed correctly to satisfy the Title 24 Part 6, Non-Residential building code.

  • Must be completed by a certified acceptance test technician prior to receiving your Certificate of Occupancy for your project
  • An electronic copy will be submitted to the State/City and a PDF copy will be provided to the customer to have present during the final inspection
  • These reports are what most city inspectors refer to when they request Title 24 certification aka "Acceptance Testing"​



Who Can Provide Title 24 Acceptance Testing?


Only Certified Technicians can conduct acceptance testing. All certified technicians must also be employed by a certified acceptance testing employer.
